At the September 402 Developers Meetup, Jesse Angell walked us through his experiences with owning and operating a flight school and leading the development of software that is responsible for moving billions of dollars of other people’s money around. In his presentation he highlighted the need for safety, what safe software is, and human errors that cause unsafe practices.
Jesse Angell, a payments industry veteran and experienced infrastructure and software engineer, is Senior Director of Engineering at CardFlight. He has been an engineer with the company since 2015. He oversees the engineering teams that build CardFlight’s back-end financial processing platform, handle certifications with processors, and build and maintain the production infrastructure.
